Shanghai Lingyi Yuanzhou Technology Co., Ltd. (上海零一源舟科技有限公司) (“we”) understands how important personal information is to you, and works to keep it safe. We follow these principles: matching responsibility with authority, clear purpose, consent by choice, data minimisation, security, participation by the data subject, and transparency.

Ark Client is an ordering and checkout tool used by staff inside a restaurant. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information, and how you can manage it.Please read this policy carefully before using the app. By using it you accept that we handle the relevant information as described here.

1. What we collect, and why

The app is used to run a restaurant, so most of the information is business data entered and managed by the store itself. We collect only what the following functions require:

Type of informationPurposeNotes
Member details (phone number, name, membership number) Letting staff create member records, look members up, and handle stored value and points Collected only when the store creates or looks up a record; managed by the store as its own business data
Orders and transactions (dishes, amounts, payment method, table) Taking orders, settling bills, house accounts and operations reports Business data belonging to the store
Device information (model, OS version, device identifier) Device authentication, securing the link between terminal and cloud, and fault diagnosis Used to identify authorised devices
Network information (IP address, Wi-Fi and network status) Syncing orders, tables and member data with the cloud, and diagnosing connection quality Not used for location

We do not collect personal information unrelated to the functions above, do not push advertising to you, and integrate no third-party advertising, analytics or push SDKs.

2. Device permissions and what they are for

We request the permissions below only where a function requires them. Apart from the network permissions, sensitive permissions are requested at the moment you use the related function and you may decline; declining affects only that function.

PermissionPurpose
Network and Wi-Fi (INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE / ACCESS_WIFI_STATE) Syncing orders, tables and member data with the cloud
Bluetooth (BLUETOOTH_CONNECT / BLUETOOTH_SCAN) Connecting Bluetooth thermal printers for receipts and kitchen tickets (requested at runtime)
Location (Android 11 and below only, maxSdkVersion=30) Required by older Android versions to scan for Bluetooth devices. We neither collect nor record any location data
Foreground service and device connection (FOREGROUND_SERVICE family) Keeping the print agent resident so kitchen and receipt printing is not interrupted
Start on boot (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) Tills stay powered on; printing resumes automatically after a restart
Battery exemption and wake lock (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS / WAKE_LOCK) Stopping power-saving policies from killing the printing process and losing kitchen tickets
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) Showing printing errors and service status (requested at runtime on Android 13+)
USB devices (usb.host) Printing directly to a USB thermal printer

3. Third-party SDKs and information sharing

The app includes the third-party components below. We assess their legality, legitimacy and necessity, and require them to comply with applicable law and confidentiality obligations.

NamePurposeInformation involved
ASP.NET Core SignalR client (Microsoft) Real-time connection to the cloud for orders, tables and member data Network connection information
Plugin.Maui.Audio Playing new-order and alert sounds in the kitchen No personal information
SQLite (local database) Caching business data on the device so it works offline Stored locally only, not uploaded

We do not share your personal information with third parties except where a store function requires it or the law demands it. If we integrate new third-party SDKs (payment or delivery platforms, for example), we will update this list and seek consent again where required.

4. Storage and security

Business data is transmitted encrypted (HTTPS / TLS) and stored on servers inside the People's Republic of China. Local data lives in the app's private directory. We use access control, device authentication and similar measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure or tampering.

We keep personal information only as long as the purposes described here require, and then delete or anonymise it, unless the law requires otherwise.

5. Your rights

Under applicable law you may access, correct, supplement, copy and delete your personal information, withdraw consent, and close an account. Because this app is used by store staff and member records are managed by the store as the operator, guests should contact the store in question to exercise these rights; you may also reach us at the contact below and we will respond within the statutory period.

6. Minors

This app is a commercial tool for restaurant operators and their staff, and is not aimed at minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

7. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. The latest version is published on this page with an updated date. Where the changes materially affect how personal information is handled, we will notify you separately by an appropriate means.
